PASTA WITH PRAWNS

Ingredients

  • Spaghetti Davinci to taste
  • 500 grams of prawns
  • 50 ml olive oil
  • 50 ml tomato pulp
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1 medium onion
  • Pepper to taste
  • Piri-piri / Chilli (if desired)
  • Salt to taste
  • Parsley leaves to taste

Preparation

  1. Cook the Davinci spaghetti pasta in salted water
  2. Sauté the onion and chopped garlic in a pan with olive oil
  3. Add the tomatoes and thawed prawns
  4. Season with salt, pepper and chilli. Leave to cook
  5. Remove the water from the spaghetti and mix with the prawn sauce
  6. Serve and garnish with parsley, if desired.

CORNFLOUR CAKE

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of cornflour First Choice
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup of milk
  • Half a cup of oil
  • 1 and a half cups of sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder

Preparation

  1. Put the eggs in a bowl and beat until they are completely liquid
  2. Once mixed, add the milk, oil and sugar. Mix again until the mixture is smooth
  3. Once this is done, add the cornflour. We recommend adding it little by little and whisking while you add it.
  4. Add the yeast and stir gently
  5. Place all the previously prepared dough in a greased and floured mould. It should be a very light and liquid dough
  6. Bake in a preheated oven at 180ºC for approximately 40 minutes. Please note that this time varies from oven to oven. If the toothpick comes out dry, it's time to take the cake out.

BEEF CURRY WITH APAS

INGREDIENTS

APAS
  • 1kg de farinha de trigo Maharaja
  • 7 colheres de sopa de óleo
  • 7 colheres de sopa de ghee (manteiga clarificada) Água quente q.b.
CARIL
  • 1kg de carne de cabrito
  • 2 cebolas raladas
  • 5 tomates ralados
  • 1 colher de sopa de massa de tomate
  • 1 colher de chá de alho
  • 1 colher de chá de gengibre
  • 1 colherinha de coentro em pó
  • 1 colher de chá de cominho em pó
  • ½ colher de chá de açafrão
  • 1 pau de canela
  • Pimenta preta inteira q.b.
  • Cravo da índia q.b.
  • Cardamomo q.b.

PREPARATION

APAS
  1. Num recipiente, mistura a farinha de trigo Maharaja, com o óleo e o ghee, mistura bem com as mãos até que tudo fique bem incorporado, acrescenta a água quente, amassa muito bem e deixa descansar.
  2. Faz bolas pequenas com a massa, e com ajuda de um rolo de cozinha, abre uma bola de cada vez, fazendo pequenos discos.
  3. Assa as bolas e de seguida barra com a manteiga.
CARIL
  1. Leva ao lume uma panela com óleo, canela em pau, cravo da índia, cardamomo, pimenta preta e cebola, deixa fritar até a cebola alourar.
  2. De seguida a carne, alho, gengibre e sal. Mexe bem e deixa sair a água da carne, depois acrescenta água fervida até a carne estar coberta. Tapa e deixa cozer.
  3. Quando a carne estiver cozida adiciona o tomate, os temperos em pó e a massa de tomate, tapa e deixa cozer novamente. Deixa o molho engrossar, polvilha com coentro. E serve!

PASTA WITH SAUSAGE

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 pacote de massa Bela Esparguete
  • 1 pacote de salsichas
  • Molho ao teu gosto

PREPARATION

  1. Corta as salsichas cruas em pedaços de 3 ou 4 centímetros.
  2. Pega a massa crua e espeta nos pedaços de salsicha, coloca 5 ou 6 fios em cada pedaço.
  3. Coloca a cozer a salsicha junto com a massa.
  4. Quando a massa estiver cozida, é só coar a água e colocar o molho ao teu gosto.
  5. Serve e partilha a experiência connosco.

INGREDIENTS

  • 400 gramas de Bela Cotovelo
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1 tin of tuna fish
  • 2 cenouras raladas ou cortadas às rodelas
  • 1 chávena de maionese
  • Parsley to taste

PREPARATION

  1. Em uma tigela, coloca o atum, a cebola, a cenoura, a maionese e mistura bem até ficar incorporado.
  2. Junta a massa já cozida e mistura delicadamente. Cobre e leva à geleira por 30 minutos, ou até o momento de servir.

INGREDIENTS

  • 10 tablespoons sifted Xiluva wheat flour
  • 8 ovos
  • 10 tablespoons of sugar
  • 1 dessertspoon baking powder

PREPARATION

  1. Beat the eggs in a mixer until smooth.
  2. Acrescenta o açúcar, aos poucos, enquanto bates.
  3. Finally, add the Xiluva flour little by little, still whisking.
  4. Add the yeast, with the mixer switched off, and stir carefully with a whisk (fouet).
  5. This dough rises a lot, even without yeast, which is why it is an optional ingredient.

  • 3 cups of Babita wheat flour
  • 2 cups of sugar
  • 4 tablespoons of margarine
  • 1 and 1/2 cups of milk
  • 3 eggs

PREP

  1. Beat the egg whites until stiff and set aside
  2. Mix the egg yolks, margarine and sugar until the mixture is smooth
  3. Add the milk and Babita wheat flour little by little, without stopping beating
  4. Finally, add the egg whites and baking powder
  5. Pour the batter into a large, greased and floured springform pan
  6. Bake in a medium oven at 180ºC, preheated, for approximately 40 minutes.

BELA PENNE WITH TOMATO SAUCE

  • 1/2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 3 chopped garlic cloves
  • 1 small, chopped pepper
  • 1 kg peeled and seeded tomatoes, chopped
  • 400 grams of cooked penne pasta
  • salt to taste
  • basil to taste
  • grated cheese to taste

PREPARATION

  1. Heat the olive oil in a pan, brown the onion, garlic and chopped pepper.
  2. Add the tomatoes and salt and cook for 2 minutes. Turn off the heat.
  3. Mix the penne pasta, basil leaves and cheese.
  4. Transfer to a serving dish and serve.

  • 125g of butter
  • 1 cup wheat flour Babita
  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 1/2 cup chopped chestnuts
  • 1 cup crushed toast bread
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp of vanilla essence
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon of chopped dates

PREPARATION

  1. Beat the butter and sugar until you reach the consistency of a cream, add the egg and flavouring and mix well;
  2. Add the flour and yeast and mix again;
  3. Add the dates and walnuts and mix everything well;
  4. Make balls, coat in breadcrumbs and place on the baking tray.
  5. Place the sweets on a baking tray and bake in a moderate oven.
