In the context of the 34th anniversary of the INSS, we had the pleasure of welcoming a delegation from this institution to our MEREC Socimol facilities for a program of lectures on the latest Mandatory Social Security Legislation.
As MEREC, we are aware of the importance of contributions to social security, as well as ensuring that our employees have access to their rights and duties with social security, which is why we support these initiatives with open arms.
We congratulate and thank the INSS for including us in their activities for the celebrations of their anniversary.
On December 2nd, the 2nd Genetically Improved Cattle Auction of 2023 took place at Simtaurus Farm, Porto Henrique, in the Namaacha District. The event, organized by ARENA Events, was attended by His Excellency, the Administrator of Namaacha, Carlos Mourinho, and by national and foreign breeders, as well as lovers and practitioners of agriculture and livestock.
MEREC was represented by its animal feed brands FORTE and KULUKA, as well as by its team of experienced veterinarians, who were able to share some cattle management techniques with clients.
On November 23 and 24, our team of veterinarians was present at the III Congress of Veterinary Medicine of Mozambique, in Maputo. In addition to gathering and sharing experiences with their peers from this profession, they were also able to present the solutions that MEREC has to offer to the market, which was introduced by our Production Manager of the Feed Unit, Dr. André Horta Andre Horta
We thank the Veterinary Order of Mozambique, especially the chairwoman Dr. Ana Flávia, for the partnership.
The First Choice corn flour was one of the big stars of the 6th Edition of the Indian Ocean Festival, last Saturday, November 4th, at the Maputo Port Gallery.
At this event, which marked the 25th anniversary celebrations of TV Miramar, we also had the opportunity to draw the 3 winners of the prizes from the campaign that had been running by First Choice since October 16th, in which customers were supposed to deposit empty First Choice packages at designated locations. The draw was conducted with the inspection of the General Gaming Board.

The 3rd Edition of the Mozambique Agribusiness, Industry, and Logistic Forum of ACIS Moçambique, took place on August 17, 2023, in the City of Beira, and was attended by His Excellency, the Minister of Industry and Commerce, Silvino Moreno.
A MEREC esteve representada pela sua Gestora de Unidade de Negócios de Rações, Susana da Silveira Bretao Machado Luciano, who contributed to the panel of speakers, sharing the experience of MEREC INDUSTRIES, in its 24 years of existence.
For our Feed Business Unit Manager, participating in this event was a tremendous pleasure, as it not only allowed her to hear about new experiences and ideas but also provided a space where she could share her own experience and that of MEREC, which, in her own words:
