I - Definitions
- APP MEREC PLUS - is a tool through which the Loyalty Program is managed, available in the Google Play Store where customers can register and directly manage their points, claim rewards, among other associated products and services. This application can also be managed via USSD or Customer Line
- Loyalty Card - is a support scratch card that the customer obtains inside the bags/packages/packaging of the products included in the Loyalty Program, through which they have access to an instant score, which enables them to acquire various Rewards within the scope of this Program.
- Customers - are all those within the scope of the Loyalty Program, MEREC PLUS, are registered in a database as loyal buyers who can obtain Rewards through the points they accumulate for each Loyalty Card.
- MEREC Industries, S.A - A company incorporated under Mozambican law, registered at the Legal Entities Registry Office under number 12.242 on page 10 verso of Book C - 30, with its registered office at Avenida Josina Machel, no. 5716, Matola - Mozambique, with a share capital of four thousand, six hundred and sixty-two million, three hundred and ninety-eight thousand Meticais.
- Scoring - (i) is the numerical value assigned to each Loyalty Card and which entitles the customer to exchange it for various prizes according to the accumulated score. (ii) The value of the score is determined by the Loyalty Card inserted in each type of product, i.e. the score is the same for all bags/packages according to the type of product, and there is no randomness, probability, luck/chance or need for skill or knowledge to award the Rewards.
- Integrated Products - FORTE brand feed, namely types A1, A2 and A5, sold in 50 kg bags; |Faspão brand wheat flour, in quantities of 10 kg, 20 kg, 25 kg and 50 kg |Babita brand wheat flour, in quantities of 25 kg and 50 kg |EAGLE brand wheat flour for bread, in quantities of 10 kg, 25 kg and 50 kg .
- the Loyalty Program. is an ongoing incentive project developed by MEREC MEREC to reward its customers and encourage them to repeat business transactions. This program aims to build long-term loyalty with each customer by obtaining preferential information about them and supporting them with rewards that enhance their lifestyle.
- various rewards - are the bonuses to which customers are entitled during the term of the program, for having accumulated the points required to claim Rewards and in accordance with the specific terms and conditions of the Program.
- Resellers and Distributors - are entities duly authorized by MEREC or MEREC, contracted to resell the Integrated Products within the scope of this Program.
- Duration- is the period during which the Loyalty Program will be implemented, with an initial duration of an indefinite period.
- Coverage Zone - refers to any location within the national territory where the products included in the Loyalty Program can be marketed.
II - GENERAL RULES OF THE PROGRAM
Article 1 - Program Name
This Loyalty Program the Loyalty Program. will be implemented under the name "MEREC PLUS (+)"to provide commercial visibility and attractiveness for greater customer adherence.
Article 2 - Objective
The aim of this Loyalty Program, "MEREC PLUS (+)""The aim is to reward customers for remaining loyal to MEREC products, as well as to create a database that allows us to get to know our customers and consumers better, as well as market trends and bring our products ever closer to their needs. And, through the rewards, create distinction in the lives of customers and consumers who will benefit from products that are useful in their daily lives and in the performance of their activities.
Article 3 - Duration
The "MEREC PLUS (+)" Loyalty Program will be implemented starting from July 2020 and will remain in effect indefinitely, in accordance with the applicable legislation.
Article 4 - Specific Program Rules
- The bags/packages/packaging of the integrated products contain a Loyalty Card inside with a code to access the points, which must be added to the customer's account for accumulation and/or redemption according to the corresponding limit for each Reward (as illustrated in the Rewards Plan Table below).
- The choice to instantly obtain rewards or accumulate more points for other rewards is at the customer's discretion, if the points obtained correspond to the reward option according to the terms of the Rewards Plan Table below.
- Resellers and Distributors may assist customers in claiming rewards at MEREC establishments, following the established procedures.
- Customers are free to choose the reward they want to obtain based on the accumulated points. However, they cannot choose the provider of these goods or services, or the respective brands of the goods referred to in the Rewards, except for mobile phone recharges and credelec.
- Rewards can be claimed through the MEREC PLUS application, USSD, and the Customer Line, and they can be delivered to customers within an intermediate period of 72 hours to 30 calendar days.
- It is the customer's sole responsibility to pick up the Rewards at the locations identified for this purpose (MEREC's premises, or a location identified by MEREC in accordance with the customer's location), and they must arrange the logistics and transportation of the Reward at their own expense, should the need arise.
- Any issues arising from customer dissatisfaction regarding the Program's details, products, or the conduct of Resellers should be directly addressed to the Customer Service Center of MEREC Industries, S.A., at contact number 800637321.
- All materials and equipment used or assigned within the scope of this Program to Resellers, Distributors, or other partners are the exclusive property of MEREC Industries, S.A. and must be returned at the end of the Program's duration.
Article 5 – Rewards Plan

Article 6 – Participation Methods and Costs
Participation in this Loyalty Program applies to all customers and consumers who purchase MEREC products (included in the MEREC PLUS program) during the program's implementation. The participation does not involve any additional costs other than the commercial value of the product.
Article 7 – Claiming and Collecting Rewards
Rewards are claimed and/or convertible via the MEREC Plus App, USSD or customer line, the first two options are operational 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and the latter from Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. The withdrawal of rewards in the case of top-ups will be awarded electronically and the remaining rewards will be delivered on a date, time and place to be notified by MEREC.
Article 8 - Timeframe for Collecting Rewards
Customers have up to 90 (ninety) calendar days to pick up their rewards at the agreed locations from the date they are notified to do so. If they do not do so within this period, MEREC is not responsible for their delivery or the state in which they are found.
Article 9 – Reward Guarantee
- The goods integrated as rewards are only covered by the Supplier's warranty. In cases where customers have not been provided with a proof of purchase, they may contact MEREC for support in addressing the complaint with the Supplier. However, the responsibilities related to the claim, exchange, and/or return of these goods should be established between the customer and the supplier of the goods.
- MEREC is always available and during the respective warranty period to facilitate communication between the Customer and the Supplier, as well as to provide all necessary information and evidence to satisfy the Customer's claim. However, MEREC distances itself from any legal liability or obligations regarding any repairs that may be required.
Article 10 - Supplementary Provisions
- This Regulation was prepared in strict compliance with the Guidelines of the Interested Entities in the Process of Regulation and Authorization and Licensing of Social and Amusement Games.
- In all matters not expressly provided for in these Regulations, the provisions of Law 22/2009 of September 28, which approves the Consumer Law, shall apply, without prejudice to the application of the General Rules of Law and the dictates of good faith.
- This Loyalty Program is not subject to the provisions of Law No. 9/2012 of February 8, which approves the Law on Social and Amusement Games, and its regulations approved by Decree No. 17/2012, as amended by Law No. 33/2018 of May 28, as it does not involve social and amusement games or activities that allow for winning prizes based on probability, randomness, luck, skill, or knowledge. Therefore, it is not covered by the Law on Games of Chance.
